Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the types of information that QuickListCheck (QLC) collects, retains and uses, how we do this and the safeguards that are in place to protect your privacy. Although QLC delivers products and services to businesses, we understand that from time to time we may become privy to personal information (information about identifiable individuals, outside of the information that would generally appear on a business card).

Site Browsing Information

We keep track of who visits our site (via cookies, IP addresses and user login), what browser was used, when, and how the site is used. This information is used to improve our website experience and to optimize our product and service offerings. We may use third party tools (such as Google Analytics) for the purpose of analyzing site traffic and usage patterns.

Registered Users

When you become a registered user, you are required to provide certain information including your company’s name, your company’s address, your name, the type of reporting entity that you are affiliated with (if applicable), your phone number and your email address. This information is used to deliver products and services, provide ongoing access to customized products purchased via the website and for internal analytics used to optimize our products, services and marketing.

We do not share your information with any organizations or individuals unless it is required in order to deliver our products and services or by law.

Information About Our Customers

When you become a customer, you are required to provide payment(s) for the product(s) and/or service(s) that is being purchased. QLC does not maintain customers’ payment information, except for the last four digits of your card number (this is used to help you remember which card you have used to sign up for your plan).

In order to complete the payments, including ongoing payments, our payment processor will use and retain this information.

We maintain records of the products and services that were purchased, when, by whom and the purchase price. This information is used to improve our product and service offerings, as well as to assist in the resolution of any disputes that may arise.

Query Data

When PDF files are generated based on user queries, these are retained on our servers for 21 calendar days. When this retention period has elapsed, PDF files are automatically purged from our servers and cannot be retrieved.

Data Storage & Retention

The information that we collect is stored on servers, which may be located outside of Canada, including servers in the United States. Any information stored outside of Canada is subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is stored.

Customer data is retained for at least seven years in order to provide accurate information related to our business operations where required (for example for taxation purposes).

No copies of PDF files that have been automatically purged from our serves are retained under any circumstances except the following:

 

In all such instances, we will purge any retained copies of customers’ PDF files following the confirmed resolution of all issues that lead to the retention of the PDF file.

Security Matters

For security reasons, a session will expire after 30 minutes of inactivity and users will automatically be logged out of the site.  This will require the user to log into the QLC site using their username and password.

Breach Notification

In the event of any breach of our users’ privacy, including any unauthorized access to user’s accounts and/or data, we will conduct an assessment and notify our customers of any potential harm. If you believe that any breach or unauthorized access has occured, please contact our privacy officer immediately via email (privacy@quicklistcheck.com).

Advertisers and Other Third Parties

We do sell our customers’ information to any advertisers or other third parties.  If you believe that someone has attempted to sell a customer list related to QLC, please report this activity to our privacy officer immediately via email (privacy@quicklistcheck.com).
